Connect with incarcerated individuals

There is a fee for posting profiles, however we have a few options to choose from. We try to keep costs as low as possible and will occasionally hold drawings for free profiles. 

All information necessary to contact a specific inmate will be listed on their profile. Every state has their own contracts for tablets, messaging etc. so it can vary per state. All federal inmates use corrlinks, but for county jails they will vary per county. 

To create a profile on Hope On The Yard, simply click on “contact us” and provide the inmates information, including name, age, inmate ID, prison, state, mailing address, sexual orientation, and crime. You can also add photos and write a bio to help other users get to know them better.

Please use our “contact us” feature and include a screenshot of the inmate agreeing to be removed. If possible, please also include links to their social media posts. 

You can find a variety of different relationships on Hope On The Yard, including casual dating, serious relationships, and even friendships. Our users come from diverse backgrounds and are looking for a range of different connections.

It is usually one of four things:

-The instructions asked in the app while trying add them were not followed properly.

-The person has moved locations (you can find their updated location on the locator linked at the top of each states page).

-They have been released (you can usually confirm this if they are not showing up on the locator at all).

-The person has temporarily had their messaging function turned off for disciplinary reasons (try sending them a letter instead).
